Jacob Dsouza
Jacob Dsouza was just 4 years old when he started to discover his passion for music.
He first picked up a violin, before getting behind the drums, and then picking up a guitar, singing, and piano.
Jacob, now a 17 year old Singer/Songwriter from Brantford, Ontario, Canada, wasn’t just born with music in his bones, but has grown up around it. His dad, a musician, performer, and Co-Owner of Avalon Music Academy, and Mom, a die hard music fan, and Co-Owner of Avalon Music Academy, have not only raised him, and his sister Kayleigh, up in music, but have travelled the continent chasing the shows of some of their favourite artists, shows, and bands.
Some of Jacobs musical influences include, but aren’t limited to, The Beatles, Billy Joel, Phoebe Bridgers, Greenday & Taylor Swift, as well as one of his favourite songs is ‘What Does It Take’ by Honeymoon Suite.
His first single, Come Back To You, was released February 2021, and has been streamed 3000 times on Spotify, as well as his Stripped down EP, Self Titled, ‘Nights In California, released during the Pandemic got the attention of acclaimed Canadian Singer-Songwriter, Chantal Kreviacuk.
Over the course of the pandemic, Jacob has also learned to record, and produce, music on his own from his bedroom, and has just released his debut, Self-Produced & Engineered EP, 'Damage Done'.
Jacob aspires to, one day, play the same stadiums, arenas, and venues that he and his family have seen some of the greats in, from Toronto to Nashville and beyond, and to share his songs & stories to the world.
